Black/Death Metal was the early step of what we know now as "Black Metal". Before Norwegian Black Metal combos existed a little extreme scene was raising with utterly dark and terrorifying music. Bands such as Profanaitica, Beherit, Archgoat, Von would introduce the world to a real nightmare. Nearly 15 years later, Germany enfanted a new Damien in this scene, taking all the keys of their goat father and bringing chaos a bit further. The Grand NECORS CHRISTOS was born under "Necromantic Doom" demo in '92. Mors Dalos Ra (guitar, vokills, keys) answered the infernal inquisition

Hail, how are you today ? Ready to cross a graveyard full of questions ?
Well, shall we begin to consult and invoke the grand NECROS CHRISTOS without any further delays though…

Let's start the interview giving us some fresh news, expected for your new release "Triune Impurity Rites" ?
What news you`re longing for ? (dead answers from the netherworld ! –ed) The CD sold very well, 2000 copies in about three weeks so we're awaiting the release of the LP version now, shortly followed by a repress of the CD…

I saw that you're looking for a new drummer, how does it come and did you get some interesting person so far ?
We have no replacement in sight yet, but Mister Christhammer will play all booked shows til the end of the year anyway. Our concert on the 6th of October in Berlin and the dates in Finland in November will be highlights in our ceremonial work anyway so that we`re not in a hurry to find a suitable replacement that fast…

Could you give us some words about the early day of NECROS CHRISTOS ? Why did you create this band and why did you choose to play a kind of mid tempo Black/Death Metal ?
First of, you never choose those things, they simply happen. It was a dark night in autumn 2001 with some candles burning. I tuned my guitar fuckin`down the way the grand NECROS CHRISTOS forced me to do so and wrote the first songs “Tormented Flesh On The Mount Of Crucifixion” and “Grave Damnation” in about an hour as being under total possession of something which I cannot explain. Til this day the composing process remained the same; Waves of audiomantical wytchcraft betockening darkness electrify my body again and again and the result shall speak for itself…

According to you how can a band like your could evolve in the future ? I mean you play a pretty personal Metal, that could lot all its magic if you change the formula, for instance I'm thinking of Aeternus or Enslaved that came with very original debut release than moved towards strange musical influences…Do you think that NECRO CHRISTOS could record many more alike albums ?
Of course not with the same concept as on “TIR”, but yes, at least one more record shall emerge to exist. I know what you mean though as our style seems very repetitive, but it obviously doeth serve a higher purpose. The transcendental, ritualistic feel is omnipresent and I want to catch souls instead of showing our abilities by putting hundred fuckin`riffs a song. Who the fuck does find any shining moments in those senseless blastbeat Death Metal combos caring for a jazzlike musicianship…? Death Metal is the key…

How is you relation with death ? What is your position about life after death, do you believe that man is nothing less than ashes when dying or do you believe in any spiritual second life ?
I believe in multiple soul incorporation and our souls to be the vessel of everlasting life, everyone exploring the abhorrent art of ancient necromancy has to believe in a spiritual form of dwelling after death though. Nefesch is still pulsating while your bones already moulder, can't you feel the current of the damned while walking on a cemetary above the bodies in their malodorous graves…?

May I say that NECROS CHRISTOS is one of the most original finding and one of the "freshest" band in the B.M/D.M scene ? Your band reminds me a bit of early Aeternus debut MCD or even Deynonichus early albums, do you agree with me and what are the bands that influenced your composition ?
No, I do not agree as both bands have simply no meaning for what is the essence OF NECROS CHRISTOS. Although it might sound a bit strange, but in first aspect I`m influenced mostly by Persian and Arabian Folk music as those of Hessamoddin Seraj, Davod Azad, Shahram Nazeri or Munir Bashir. Secondly comes German and Italian Baroque as of Bach and Pergolesi for example. Metal of course, but I'm listening much more to the works of bands as Black Sabbath, Coven, Mercyful Fate than ordinary Death Metal albums…

Could you explain us the concept behind "Triune Impurity Rites" as it seems a bit complex and rather evolved ? How long was it to reach the final lyrics and arrangements in each song ?
Six years my friend, six years of magical work finally culminating into “TIR”. The record holds the trinity of all unholy mancys, an audiomantical grimoire in itself. The “temples” are numbered backwards with the 9th (99) to begin, the last song, the tryptich, counted as 999 showing the three states of mankind as Adam Kadmon, Adam Belial and Adam Protoplast as well as their qliphotic counterparts represented by the prehistorical regents darkness, damnation and death eternal…

Could you detail a bit he meaning behind the cover of "Triune Impurity Rites" ? Is there any meaning behind the number 5 of the front candles ? What is the secret behind the eagle leg in the middle of the tabernacle ?
It's a chicken`s foot to be correct, the same one which I use to wear as a necklace on live ceremonials. Every goetic tool on the cover of “TIR” symbolizes perfectly what the grand NECROS CHRISTOS is all about…

Who is behind Sepulchral Voices ? Is I the band label or so ? I haven't seen any other releases ?
Actually, they released stuff before as i.e. the unbelievable Charon 7inch. I guess it is no secret anymore that the persons involved in Sepulchral Voice belong to the uttermost titans of German Black Metal diabolism named…

Mors Dalos Ra and Black Shepherd Ov Doom are also involved in a Death Metal project called "Drowned", could you briefly introduce this band ? I saw that you're signed on Nuclear War Now! for the upcoming vinyl. How does Drowned sound as I never listened to the materials ?
Argh, a question I do go mad about. Normally, the interview had to stop here…is it so difficult to get some infos about a band which exists since 1992…? What the fuck, labelling Drowned a sideproject couldn't be much wronger, just check out everything they have released and get swallowed by the alchemical nucleus of what can be regarded as real, occult Death Metal mastery…

I saw that you've 2 DVDs in your discography that are "Bunkertor 4 Rehearsals" and "Night Of The Unmutilated Ritual", would you speak a bit about them ? Are they video or just audio materials ? I think the "Night…" was shot in Berlin for a live wasn't it ?
No real DVDs with a complex menue or whatever, we got them out for free to friends and brothers who weren't able at that time to witness NECROS CHRISTOS live. Their content isn't worthy enough to waste more words about `em…

It seems that old school Black/Death Metal combos are coming back as Archgoat, Profanatica have released new albums while NWN Production is re-editing the first Blasphemy's album on DLP. So what is your regard on that come back and have you listened to the new Profanatica and Archgoat ?
The music is what counts, not if it's the hundred comeback or whatever. Archgoat belong to our closest brothers, “Whore Of Bethlehem” is a record with depths unknown.
“Fallen Angel Of Doom” is a milestone of breathing darkness, it surely deserves to remain in the heads of all who are wilful enough to taste its power. Can't say anything about the new Profanatica yet unfortunately…

What does Satanism means to you in your music ? Do you believe that playing dark Metal helped your visions and search in this left hand path way ?
Satan is the End-Entity, observing life from the unspeakable depths of the Sitra Ahra and being invoked day by day by the sinful flesh of man…”TIR” is about all of those invokings although Satanism does not play an eminent role on the record as for example the spiritual path of the Occult Beyond does…

Thanks a lot for the answers, close the coffin with a last thought…
Thanks for the interview anyway,
